HOW WE BEGAN

Mercy Mission originally began in the early 1980’s as the brain child of Bob Thomas who was pastor of Grace Church (now Extreme Worship). The intention has always been to serve those less fortunate in Glenpool with food and other assistance. In 2014, Mercy Mission II was born from those efforts.

WHO WE ARE

Today, MMII is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, with board members from 5 area churches. Mercy Mission II remains true to the original dream, with the intent of expanding services to help those in the South County area.

We help serve those in immense need in the South county area for services and a continued demand for food and clothing.

HOW WE SERVE

MMII extends God’s love by serving as Christ’s hands. We provide services to meet the needs of hurting people in the South Tulsa County area.

Food Pantry

We provide food and necessities to fill the gap between SNAP (food stamps) and hunger for over 180 families each month.

Kid's Snack Packs

MMII provides a weekly bag of shelf-stable, child-friendly food to students in need through the Glenpool school district.

Clothing Closet

Collect and then distribute hundreds of "gently used" articles of clothing to members of our community of all ages.

Utility Bill Assistance

Through a partnership with utility companies, MMII helps arrange assistance with heat and electricity bills of families in need.

Transportation

Assistance with auto repairs, tires, and filling gas tanks in addition to providing bus tickets and rides to Tulsa's Greyhound station.

Medical Care

Providing healthcare, education and couseling services by appointment through Good Samaritan Health Service.
